How does the billing cycle work?

Last updated: February 6, 2026

This article explains how Quicknode’s billing cycle works, including what happens when you subscribe in the middle of a month and when your subscription renews.

Billing cycle overview

Quicknode offers monthly and yearly subscription plans. Each plan follows a calendar‑based billing cycle, which determines when charges occur and when your subscription renews.

Monthly plans

Monthly subscriptions always renew on the 1st of the month.

If you subscribe in the middle of a month, you’re only charged for the remaining days until the end of that month. Your subscription then renews on the 1st of the following month, when you’ll be billed for a full month.

Example:

  • If you subscribe on March 15

  • Your invoice will cover the period from March 15–31

  • Your subscription renews on April 1, and you’re billed for the full month of April

Yearly plans

Yearly subscriptions are billed in full at the start of the subscription.

They are also aligned to calendar billing. For example, if you start a yearly plan on July 6, 2026, your next renewal will be on July 1, 2027.

How this appears on your invoice

You can see this prorated charge reflected on your invoice at the time of subscription. The invoice will show a partial charge covering the period from your sign‑up date through the end of the billing cycle.

You can review your invoices at any time from your Quicknode dashboard: Usage & Billing > History
