Sales Tax Information

Starting December 2, 2025, Quicknode will begin applying sales tax to customer accounts where required by state law.
Sales tax is determined based on your billing address in the Quicknode Dashboard and is calculated automatically using the most current tax rates for your location.

Tax Calculation Rules
Taxable jurisdictions: Sales tax automatically applies if your billing address is in a state listed above.
Non-taxable jurisdictions: No sales tax is applied if your billing address is in a state not currently subject to tax collection.
Missing/invalid addresses: Customers without a complete billing address may be subject to default tax rates (see table above for specific rates by state).
Rate determination: Tax rates include state, county, and local taxes as applicable to your specific address.

Ensure your billing information is accurate by visiting your Quicknode Dashboard → Profile icon → Profile → Primary address.
What You’ll See on Your Invoice
When tax applies, your invoice will include:
A separate line item: “Sales Tax (XX%)”. The sales tax line item includes the applicable tax rate for transparency. Rates vary by location and may include state, county, and local taxes.
A breakdown showing subtotal, tax, and total.

When will sales tax apply to my existing account?
Sales tax applies to all invoices generated on or after December 2, 2025. Most existing customers will first see sales tax on their January 1, 2026, renewal invoice, but if you're invoiced for anything in December (e.g., upgrades), taxes will be applied.
Will sales tax rates vary by state?
Yes. Tax rates vary significantly by location and may include:
• State sales tax (varies by state)
• County taxes (if applicable)
• Municipal/local taxes (city or district-specific)
Rates are automatically calculated using your exact billing address to ensure accuracy.
How do I update my billing address?
1. Log in to your Quicknode Dashboard
2. Click your Profile icon in the top navigation
3. Select Profile from the dropdown menu
4. Update your Primary address information
5. Click Save - Tax calculations will update automatically for future invoices.
Can I get a refund if I was incorrectly charged tax?
Yes, if you were charged tax due to an incorrect billing address or other error:
Update your address immediately in the dashboard

I'm tax-exempt. What should I do?
Email your valid state-issued exemption certificate to billing@quicknode.com with the subject line "Tax Exemption Request." Include your account email and company information.

Is sales tax included in the prices listed on your website?
No, the prices shown on our website do not include sales tax.
The Sales Tax amount is an additional fee applied to your invoice.
When applicable, sales tax is added as a separate line item on the checkout page and on your invoice.
You’ll see it listed as “Sales Tax (XX%)”, along with a clear breakdown of subtotal, tax, and total amount.
Rates vary by location and may include state, county, or local taxes, and are automatically calculated using your exact billing address to ensure accuracy.
If tax applies to your billing address, the sales tax amount will be displayed before you confirm your purchase and again on your invoice.
